It is actually a magnet mount antenna but I removed it from the magnet and used a stainless corner brace from Home Depot. I'm glad they come as a 4 pack because it took 3 trys to get all the bends right to get it to fit nice under the cowl.The Nagoya UT-72G is a dual-band magnet mount antenna with over 3.5 dBi of gain. An included super flexible SMA adapter cable allows for easier installation to your handheld radio (both male and female SMA genders included).The Nagoya UT-72 isn’t tuned for GMRS and won’t work as well as a GMRS specific antenna will. You want a NMO style mount with a GMRS specific antenna. This combo has worked great for me with a 1.2:1swr. Needs a metal roof or hood to stick to though.
